The disclosure of the Stargate program has repercussions even for a John Sheppard who's been discharged from the service for medical reasons. The best part is it's brought Rodney back into his life, which changes dramatically for the better. The two stories deal with some hard truths about sacrifice and coming to terms with what has been suppressed for too long.
The characterizations for both canon and others are sharp and witty, yet there's no mistaking the hearts of our two heroes.
