Why This Must Be Read: This is a Stargate: Atlantis extension tomaychorian's delightful JACKNDEAN verse, the first story of which has already been recommended here.

From a galaxy far, far away, John Sheppard is unexpectedly yanked into the Supernatural world of a young Sam Winchester, and finds himself playing reluctant mentor to the precocious lad. With deft characterisation and snappy dialogue, the author draws a heart-warming (and hilarious!) picture of two very different individuals bonding under some highly unusual circumstances. I certainly don't want to give away too much of the story, but highlights include John popping into and out of closets, a haunted house, werewolves, and a reference to The Joker .

While it is set in the same universe, it works as a stand-alone: I suppose you don't strictly need to know what happens in the other four stories (which feature Jack O'Neill and Dean Winchester) to be able to follow this one. But I insist you read them anyway - they are not to be missed!

Why This Must Be Read: There is no 'i' in Team, but there is a Carson Beckett. An outsider, but eventually still a part of the Team, the author paints the love and longing to perfection. Short and sweet, but oh so powerful!
