Why This Must Be Read: It used to be that I gravitated to the Daniel of Seasons 3 and 4, but more and more, I find myself drawn to the Daniel of 'now'. There's just so much there. How much has he changed? What is the same? How much of that change is internal, and how much is just the face he shows to the world? He's gone through so much, and his role has changed. Who is Daniel now? What does he think about that? It's all very interesting.
Random delves into that with 'Good Man'. Set in the aftermath of 'Company of Thieves', it looks at who Daniel is, mostly from Cam's POV, but also from Daniel's. Cam had an idea of what he was getting when he put the team back together. He is forced to re-evaluate that, and in doing so, makes some realizations about how to be the kind of leader that SG-1 needs him to be. This is a terrific story of team, character, and change.
