Why This Must Be Read: Annerb treats us to a lovely glimpse of Teal'c and Vala, sometime in S10, taking off across America on a road trip. Vala's thoughts on Teal'c are full of insight and her unique alien perspective, while Teal'c is elegance personified, with his usual understated grace and vast pools of wisdom. His reflections on the Grand Canyon will stun you with their simplicity and subtle strength.

Beautiful visuals, deft characterization, and a delightful ending. Vala will never be my favorite character, but Annerb breathes both her and Teal'c into vibrant, marvelous life.

Two aliens, one an ex-goddess and the other an ex-slave, driving across the surface of a small distant planet, looking for a glimmer of truth. 

She never could have imagined it, even a year ago.

Why This Must Be Read:

Any Jack/Sam fan knows Gen Varel stories are the greatest, but this may be her best one yet. Sam finds herself in love with two General Jack O'Neills thanks to a wormhole jump to an alternate reality. Gen deals with the emotions of all three characters in a very realistic and heart-breaking way. She also has a way of getting her readers to empathize with her characters so be prepared, this story is filled with angst.
As you start reading you'll get the feeling that no one in this story will get a happy ending.
