Why This Must Be Read: Fig might be upset that I nabbed this before she does Teal'c/Daniel friendship next, but it's brilliant and must be mentioned right away.  The author's summary states: "Daniel confronts Teal'c on leaving Amaunet in the cave" but it's so much more than that.  Daniel does seek to understand Teal'c's actions on Abydos after Sha're gives birth to Apophis' child, but Daniel is simultaneously troubled by his own actions and perceived failure to act.  The whole piece ends up with a stunning moment of faith and clarity that hurts beautifully on behalf of both characters.

Why This Must Be Read:

Flah7 writes some of the best team fics out there, and this is definitely one of my favorites.  The team, plus Beckett, go off-world, and, yep, you guessed it - they get involved in a bar brawl. :)  It's great to have a fic that's as much about character moments and seeing the team interact as it is about plot.  I love stories that have the team supporting each other and acting like the caring, dysfunctional family that they are.  Plus it's fun to imagine the gang (and especially Beckett) taking on an entire bar full of villagers. And this is like crack for anyone who loves h/c!

Why This Must Be Read: Here's a sweet little tag to 48 Hours, in which Teal'c returns the favor and watches his team's six... in the commissary.

Strix varia gives us an excellent Janet voice, as she considers the Teal'c she knows and the many aspects of his worldview that she can't comprehend. But while she'll never understand the "Jaffa revenge thing" and the desire to kill, Janet and Teal'c share a different bond: the need and drive to protect the ones they love.

Thoughtful, gentle teamy goodness. The Things We Have in Common will definitely put a smile on your face!
