Why This Must Be Read:

Organized with one offense for each of the five sensory organs, this story is a lovely mix of humor and utter Daniel-ness, with a hefty dose of his friendship with Jack thrown in for good measure.  It's a short read, but delightful.

Why This Must Be Read:

This is a crossover fic with NCIS, but it has so much team-y goodness that I had to rec it here.  This is without a doubt one of the best fics I've read in a long time.  The crux of the story is that Office Ziva David is assigned to Atlantis as their Agent Afloat (there are Marines on Atlantis, after all).  This story is funny and heartbreaking and intelligent. The way mhalachai weaves together the two fandoms is seamless and masterful.  Not only is there tons of team moments for the Atlantis crew but for the NCIS crew as well.  Many of my favorite parts have to do with seeing Sheppard and Lorne trying to deal with the chaos that is Atlantis after the changes of season 4 and early season 5.  What makes it even more fantastic is that almost all of the Atlantis cast is in it and there are even cameos from most of the SG-1 team.  This is a must read, not just for fans of both shows, but for anyone who loves an honestly well-written story.

Why This Must Be Read: Sam sits and waits until her hands stop shaking.

I have a special fondness for stories that hint at the real-life repercussions to the trauma that our beloved team experiences on a regular basis. In this gripping Five Things, Julie gives us a peek into Sam's mind, and the nightmares and memories she still suffers from the canonical invasions of her mind and her sense of self. Julie writes with spare, immediate prose, and you'll mind yourself shuddering along with Sam as she relives some of the most terrifying moments of her time at the SGC.

Short, painful, and real. Go and read.

Why This Must Be Read:

This is an episode tag to the Atlantis episode 'Broken Ties'. A great Lorne & McKay moment. Human, and believable with excellent character voices, it explains so much about what was going on in Rodney's brain concerning the happenings with Ronon.

This bit made it into my personal canon.
