Why this must be read:

The subtitle of this wonderful piece is: 'A Dreadful Abecedarium, with Selected Illustrations'.

This is a brilliant homage to Edward Gorey's Gashlycrumb Tinies (also well worth a read if you're unfamiliar with the genius that is 'B is for Basil, assaulted by bears' et al)

The artwork here evokes the original perfectly, with the highly stylised pen and ink sketches an absolute delight to pore over.

And it's incredibly fun to anticipate the suitably dreadful deaths that each character will experience.

This is not to be missed!
