Why This Must Be Read: This was written for the sga_flashfic amnesty/exhaustion challenge, and is about John and Ronon trapped in an icefall and waiting for rescue. It's a great capsule view of how they work together, and how Ronon, used to having only himself to depend on, is learning to trust John even under extreme conditions.

Excerpt: John had been dreading this moment ever since he himself had come to and realized he was pinned beneath Ronon in the frozen crevice. They were stuck in a space about the size of a tiny closet, both of them partially buried by ice. Ronon, positioned with his back to John, wouldn’t be able to see who was behind him. He would wake up trapped and hurting from a bloody gash on his head, with some unknown person pressed up behind him, and, really, John was just hoping he wouldn’t be coherent enough to go straight for his knives.
