Why This Must Be Read: As the title implies, it's five short vignettes featuring ways that the girls come up with to beat back the Wraith. We have Elizabeth, Teyla, Cadman, and a few other girls take part in the action when they're either separated from the guys during a fight or if the guys have been temporarily put out of action. It's a fun set of vignettes that really highlights the feamle characters of Atlantis and that they are just as important as the guys in the fight against the Wraith.

These five little vignettes are just fun glimpses into Sam and Janet's relationship. That's it. And they're by Meesh, so you know they're good. Well, #5 is not quite fun but it is "Ripple Effect" Janet, which makes me happy. The rating is listed as NC-17, but I don't really think that there is naughty sufficient enough for an NC-17. I would go PG to PG-13, depending on how risque ladies kissing is to you.

Why This Must Be Read:
This is a little missing scene from "Ripple Effect" where AU Janet goes to Sam's lab. It's short and sweet but conveys Sam's grief, and the connection she and Janet (any Janet) have, beautifully. Even though this Janet, presumably, still has a Sam, she is also clearly grieved, not by her alternate's death, but by the pain it causes Sam. I usually don't like stories where "Heroes" happened but this is definitely an exception.
