Why This Must Be Read: This entertaining little series owes its existence to Michael Shanks and his snarky comment at GateCon: "Daniel’s actually a night-time ninja. He fights crime in the streets of Colorado Springs. When everyone thinks he’s up late studying stuff, he’s actually fighting crime on the streets. There's a little tidbit for you fan fiction writers."

Silly man. :)

I've actually recced another fic based on this premise in the past. While that one was an intense drama, Thel takes a lighthearted approach with this three-part series, in which Daniel becomes a hero without quite intending to do so – twice on Earth, and once off-world. It's quite enjoyable to watch Daniel's reputation inexorably spread, despite all his protests to the contrary!

 We get some nice original characters, some fun Jack POV, and Daniel at his abstracted best. These short, fun stories – complete with the same plaintive refrain, echoed in each one – are a great pick-me-up read at the end of a long day.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a very interesting story that has Daniel trapped inside a temple after an attack. He’s hurt but this isn’t your everyday Daniel whumping story nor is it your everyday H/C story. There’s very little if any H/C – this story is about how Daniel negotiates being trapped with the enemy. Yep you read that right. Daniel is trapped with a Goa’uld and he has to deal with the enemy while keeping himself safe and find some way to escape the situation. The Goa’uld is well written and well characterized with more than the usual superficial cast. This Goa’uld – is he a Goa’uld or a Tok’ra? Is he hoping to kill Daniel or is he likely to help Daniel? At the same time the reader is brought along on Daniel’s journey as he has to make some crucial decisions that are life and death for him. The rest of the team is trying to get to him but the enemy is attacking – this brings yet another layer to the story. Why are they attacking the position where the Goa’uld is trapped with Daniel? And wait until you read the last line – it will make you want to read the entire story over again!

Because it's Lantesh! Lantesh as his most biting, sarcastic and mischevious self.

Follow Lantesh (and Martouf) around for a day with the Tok'ra as they attempt to have their living quarters moved, avoid impaling themselves on the oh-so-spiky crystals as they stand on guard duty outside the council chambers and best of all, deal with a visit from SG1.

This fic is a hilarious romp from beginning to end and Lantesh's running commentary is not to be missed :D
