Rec Category: Drama
Pairing: Jack/Daniel
Category: H/C, Slash
Warning: Violence, attempted non-con, homophobia
Author on LJ: unknown
Author's Website: Imagine’s Page at Alpha Gate
Link: Don’t Walk Out
Why This Must Be Read: As this story starts out, Jack and Daniel are on the verge of a break up. Jack has been treating Daniel terribly and the story starts at the end of one such catastrophic event. Jack cannot explain is seething anger at Daniel. When apart, the angst Jack feels is strong and well depicted but as soon as they are together again, Jack attacks Daniel verbally. This story is the ultimate answer to the aliens made them do it. It reverses this and makes you wonder how the pair will ever get back together again. The author has the team and the SGC very supportive of their relationship. Though I tend to believe this makes most stories weak, I can forgive it here because the rest of the story really points to the destruction of love due to homophobia in a culture.
