There was no pressure valve here, no downpour to clear weeks of humid oppression, and Daniel was starting to think that before much longer, it was going to degenerate into another pinching, ball-crushing, hair-pulling fiasco.


Why This Must Be Read:

I read this back in March and really enjoyed the story. It contains the usual snarky bantering between Daniel and Vala with a few added surprises. Daniel is still connected to Vala via the braclets and they both want to get out of Cheyenne Mountain so Daniel gets the Gereral to allow the two to leave on the pretense that he's "picking up a few needed things for research purposes". Once to his house they both settle in and begin to talk. Vala reveals that she knew Amonet and proposes that if Daniel were to give her something she might be persuaded to tell him of her. He reluctantly agrees to do as she asks. In the end it's discovered that they both have true feelings for one another that go beyond a simple attraction.

After being ribboned so many times, Daniel begins to have precognitive dreams. In helping Daniel to harness this ability, Jack learns something about him that he wanted to keep secret.


Why This Must Be Read:

Putting aside the fact that I absolutely LOVE stories that deal with the supernatural or anything relating to psychic abilities this story is very enjoyable. It's written from Jack's perspective and well worth the read.

Without giving too much away...

Daniel begins to experience precognitive dreams. He "sees" things or rather senses when things are going to happen. The ability starts to surface on a mission when Daniel senses danger and warns his teammates. The story takes an interesting turn from there and ends with he and Jack "finding" one another. Enjoy!
