Why This Must Be Read:

Simply, the great characterization. This is an AU, yes, but this is the Rodney and John we all know and hopefully love. The differences in their lives and the slight and subtle differences in their personalities because of this is great. "Hindsight" crosses over with canon near the end, Rodney still working with the SGC and all, so don't be horribly intimidated if you hate AUs. If you're in the mood for a long, juicy fic, I'd give this a try. This story never fails to make me smile.

Why this should be read: When I first read this, I saw nothing in canon to support this. I am not a vampire fan. Nevertheless, I read it, and I wasn't disappointed. kyrdwyn takes a pairing that I mostly, damn her don't see in canon and makes them achingly real. By the end of the story I believed in her pairing and loved how the two were together.
