Why This Must Be Read: What caught me about this was the author’s teaser A few months ago, he’d never have considered that "death without honour" would ever be on a par with "death from soul-sucking alien." From there it is a wonderful look into his mind and emotions. It shows Rodney’s struggle to change, to adapt to the harshness of life in the Pegasus Galaxy. The interaction between him and John is, to me, spot on. They snark and falter, it is just a wonderfully developed story.

Why This Must Be Read: Short, but dead on, in "Money's Worth" we have another perfect Daniel/Vala interaction. Apparently set within The Ties That Bind, this delightful little gem nails the I'm-not-attracted-to-you-yes-you-are-okay-maybe-I-am banter between these two, while finally explaining the nagging question: where the heck did Vala's ever-changing wardrobe come from? The verbal volleying goes just far enough to give us something, but not so far that we lose sight of where these two are at this point…and Daniel's last line is guaranteed to leave you with a smile. Nice!
