Why This Must Be Read: I’m not generally a Daniel Jackson fan. I’ll admit that right now. I usually prefer Daniel in pairing fic rather than soley Daniel focused fic. That said, this is very Daniel focused, yes its about his relationship with Sha’re and also shows his friendship with Sam but it is pretty much a “Daniel” fic. I'm reccing it in this category because there are really great elements of Sam and Daniels friendship in this fic. The writing style of this fic captures Daniel in a totally different light for me. He’s written in such a way that you can’t help but be drawn into the story. A wonderful look into the head of Daniel and how he reacts to the events of Children of the Gods and a small peek at Sam/Daniel’s friendship.

Why This Must Be Read: Because quite simply, its great. The line from an episode about Sam taking off all her clothes on P3X 595 wonderfully written into a fic, great characterisation as always from Blaze and lovely scenes between Janet and SG-1 (even though this is set early in season 1 before Janet had ever been shown on screen it almost seems as though she were there.) This fic has a cute, fluffy ending without being over the top sap.

Why This Must Be Read:
This is a great (short) scene for Hammond and Jack, set between S8 and S9 with Jack finding out about his promotion and transfer. Jack is himself, argumentative, irreverent and obstinate, and Hammond is perfect- understanding, sympathetic, but forcing Jack to face some unpleasant facts. It's a hard discussion, very true to canon.. funny, sad and fills in a lot of gaps that the series left hanging.
