I forget how I tripped upon this story, but it is worth the rec. It is very very wrong, yet so very very good.


"Humans," Baal tells him, holding his head in his hands, "are less sophisticated than the gods."

Jack reaches out, tipping Baal's chin up and checking his eyes, the rest of his face. "I'm really sick of hearing that," he says, releasing Baal's face.
