The story of how Jack O'Neill became the Colonel we all know and love. In this story Daniel and Jack's friendship is just beginning. Jack has an attitude towards Daniel that was carried over from the original movie. He sees Daniel as a pain, a burden...someone who doesn't know how to follow orders. In this story both men are put through trials which unite them as friends. Each man is faced with trials in which they must work together to succeed. In the end the choice becomes who will sacrifice themselves. One must die and a choice must be made. Will Daniel be the one who gives his life or will it be Jack?

The story is very well written and shows how Jack and Daniel grew closer after the original movie played in theaters. Basically the story is a journey that shows how the Jack and Daniel from the movie transition to become the close friends we see in the series. One of the best Jack/Daniel friendship stories out there with some wonderful scenes and dramatic moments. I hope you enjoy it!
