Why this must be read:  Long, plotty fic is my absolute favorite kind.  Apocafic is another fave.  Long, plotty apocafic that offers humor and drama, action and adventure, engaging characters, suspense, sex, and a rich characterization of a Daniel Jackson stripped of virtually all he knows and loves that is full of nuance and insight and is totally spot-on is fanfic nirvana.  At the Hour When We Are Trembling offers all of the above with style and context that never falter.
