Why This Must Be Read: A lot of my favourite stories are au's; seeing worlds where Jack and Daniel come together, regardless of time and place, with or without the Stargate, is quite enjoyable. It goes to further the meant-to-be aspect about them. This is one of my all time favourite's amongst the many I adore in this fandom. Above all, this is a story about family and love at its most simple and pure. The slash comes much later on but you are in no way lacking JD leading up to it, in fact it's that much sweeter and deserving because of the journey. You'll absolutely adore our boys in this, and the new characters you meet are just as precious. A must read, if not now then at some point during your JD loving. Enjoy!
