Why this must be read:
Another incredible look at early Teal'c and SG1 when the team was still forming and Teal'c was still finding his place on Earth. Dira uses the vehicle of papercuts and writing to analyze how different the Tau'ri are from Teal'c's previous life and culture. I love how Teal'c views the paper as a secret weapon; this shows how life under the Goa'uld has shaped his world view so well. His reflection on how the rest of SG1 reacts to his deliberate papercutting is like a lovely look into the future at how SG1 will grow into the team we all know and love. So with wonderful team-y moments and culture introspection, this fic is guaranteed to entertain and make you smile.
Story Summary: The Tau'ri's paper was as unexpectedly dangerous as they were themselves. Teal'c raised his eyebrows, impressed.
Teal'c tested his thumb against one of the corners--it did indeed function as a point of sorts, poking tangibly against his skin. He drew his thumb down the edge of the paper, and then stopped short at the strange sensation.
It wasn't until he saw blood welling up that he felt the pain of the tiny wound--indeed, the Tau'ri's paper was as unexpectedly dangerous as they were themselves. Teal'c raised his eyebrows, impressed.
