Why this must be read: It's angsty and sweet at the same time. Gotta love it. 'Closing the Divide' is set after a particularly gruesome battle in which the team members, particularly Sam and Jack, are left to pick up the remains of their trust in each other. SqueeG-1 is an excellent author, as evidenced by this powerfully emotional piece. The flashbacks were used expertly, as you were drawn in and just sat and watched as the pieces fell together with such sensitivity it was exquisite. It takes incredible talent to pull off a story of this emotional magnitude.
