I'm pretty sure this is late. But it makes four. :/ I was unexpectedly internetless for a chunk of this month. Last month.

Why this must be read: This fic is truly AU - familiar characters in a completely unfamiliar situation. And yet it doesn't feel so unfamiliar. It is a tribute to the skill of the writer that a stargate fan can feel so at home in this strange/familiar universe.

The plot is intricate without being confusing. The characters fit into their new situations, into a new universe. The differences work, and they're not afriad to be different from their original universe. You don't have to question why the writer made that particular change, it's all believable - quite a feat for a fic that is this AU.

Seriously brilliant. And not, you're not getting a snippet - you're going to have to go and read it for yourself.
