Why This Must Be Read: In Roga's What the Ducklings Did On Their Summer Vacation, a House/SGA crossover, Dr. Carson Beckett hires the newly fired from Princeton-Plainsboro Medical Drs. Chase, Foreman and Cameron to come work on Atlantis. It is a place where keen and creative diagnostic skills are needed. The author does an amazing job keeping everyone in character. Her real triumph is creating in one story a seamless combination of what feels like an authentic SGA episode, with its trademark mix of adventure and humor, and an authentic House episode, complete with a facinating medical mystery and going through someone's stuff (John Sheppard as the patient of course!). The characters evolve and yet still feel familiar. It also raises that immortal question, who is a worse and more offensive boss, Drs. House or McKay?
