Why This Must Be Read: A mission to another planet, post-Absolute Power, leaves Daniel in an ethical dilemma, questioning himself and that "new path" he wants to embark on, as he ponders the past of one world and the future of another, in ways that believably follow on that episode. The author's style, pace, and flow are all eloquent and visceral in portraying Daniel's turmoil, and the characterizations spot-on in the insight, voice, and outward demeanor of both Daniel and Jack and their relationship, circa Season 4.
