Why This Must Be Read: I don't read a lot of futurefic but I particularly liked this one byseldear. Teyla has been trapped in the Atlantis chair for a number of years and John can't really do anything about it in that time span but all of a sudden, she's been released from the chair and they reunite.
The story alternates between flashbacks and the current time and we see that their relationship became stagnant over the years that she's been trapped and now, after so many years, they take the chance at renewing and developing their relationship and life together. It's a very well-written and poignant story and even though it's not the typical happy ending, it's optimistic enough to kind of make it one.
