Why This Must Be Read: This is mainly a Daniel story. It takes place after The Fourth Horseman, Part 1 and focuses on Daniel and Mitchell on the Sodan planet and their adventures there. It includes a fair amount of Danny whumping as well as some Mitchell whumping. There's also plenty of Mitchell angst and some Daniel angst as well.
This is how I'd love to see this episode on screen. Jkrickit managed to tie in elements from the past (which I wish the writers on the show would do) with the present storyline and it really worked well for this story and the characters. While I consider it to be a Daniel/Mitchell friendship story, it's not all about how they are great friends or anything like that. I think the author has portrayed them accurately as to how they are on the show at this point in the season. The story has a happy ending, so even though there's a lot of angst and whumping, everything turns out all right in the end.
