Why This Must Be Read:
A completely fun, sweet fic with Daniel and Vala and their playful UST at the fore front, supported by great and fun team moments. Cam constantly makes you giggle. It is almost an 'aliens made them do it' fic, but so much better because SG-1 is about meeting and blending in with the alien communities, just as Daniel Jackson always points out. Plus there is dancing. It is a sequel, but can be read completely independently from the original. [personal profile] spiletta42 also offer a sound track for the fic to listen to while you read and well isn't that just awesome?

Snippet: "Sweetheart?" She mouthed silently, amused at his choice of endearment. "Really?"

He sighed and gave her that smile, the one he used when he wanted to pretend that he was angry with her, but that he was exercising great patience by hiding it. She really saw that one a whole lot less now. Funny how it managed to be both very trying and somewhat adorable.

"Vala," he said. "Let's dance."

Why This Must Be Read: When Colonel O’Neill instructs Sam to take Teal’c for an outing, she can’t help but feel resentful at what she perceives at being shunted to the sidelines. But as the evening progresses, Sam slowly discovers that she and Teal’c have a lot in common, and the beginnings of a solid friendship.

Written in engaging, thoughtful Sam POV with some entertaining fairy-tale metaphors, this short story is a good look at Sam and Teal’c, all the way back at the beginning.
