Why this must be read:  My best friend is constantly forgetting things, so after the favorites on her computer had been inadvertently deleted one time, she needed assistance in re-finding some of her links. "There's this really good Daniel story," she told me. "And it was SO sad [...] and I just felt so bad for the guy!" Naturally I was recruited to help her find said story. To my great delight, I did.

Battlefields is a beautifully well-written piece. It's written from Jack's perspective and I must say that I have never read an author who has O'Neill's voice so spot-on. After being missing for several days, Daniel is found by the Tok'ra on a planet in the midst of civil war--he's accused of war crimes...

Why This Must Be Read: This should be read because it is fun, but beneath all that fun is a lovely sincerity and seriousness. Melyanna is very good at drawing these characters with a deft hand and the characterizations are spot on. In short, it's just a really good fic. *grin*
