Why This Must Be Read: As anyone who has been reading my recs this month may have noticed by now, humour is the way to this reader's heart. The thing about this story, that as silly (and unlikely) as the argument is, some how I have no problem picturing Rodney saying just that to his captors. If you can't beat 'em, baffle 'em with BS. McKay's arguments would probably only work against those more bureaucratic enemies, but for that, the Genii definitely qualify.

Why This Must Be Read: This is one of the more extraordinary intimacies I've seen written into a plotty story, all the more remarkable for not actually including much physical intimacy (I believe the R rating is more for some of the violence than anything else). You have Cameron in danger, and Teal'c protecting him and being reassuring in incredible ways. It's very difficult to categorize this story, but it really is remarkable capability from two strong characters.

Caveat: I beta'd this story, but it really is that good, seriously.

Why This Must Be Read: This fic both makes me sad and want to melt. The smut is extremely hot, but the story is not entirely pwp. Sam's emotional phobias and character are both very much present in this story, as well as the more mischievous side of Elizabeth's personality that we so rarely get to see. Geonn's story provides a possible explanation behind the friction between Sam and Elizabeth in New Order. A very enjoyable read.

Why This Must Be Read: sga_flashfic challenges has been a great source of fics. This one was written for the "secret superpower" round, though the power is more of an interpretation of the people not an actual power. Either that or Rodney's obliviousness is the superpower, I'm not exactly sure. Visiting a planet who appreciates McKay without trying to steal him, offering interesting gifts in return for his assistance, makes for a different sort of off-world adventure. One member of the society is a little too fond of the good doctor for the Colonel's liking. Rodney is not being oblivious enough to please Sheppard when it comes to strangers, yet way too oblivious when it comes to him.
