Why This Must Be Read: A checkout clerk in a small grocery store observes two new customers in her store, both of them obviously recovering from some kind of undisclosed trauma. I really enjoy outsider POV, and this is a neat look at Sheppard and McKay, and their friendship, through a stranger's eyes.
