Why This Must Be Read: This is one of a very few stories that has shaken apart my complacency when it comes to this pairing. Some of the events move as quickly as an avalanche, some as slowly as a glacier, but through the whole wild and tumbling ride [livejournal.com profile] teaphile brings out the essence of the team's interactions and their needs, through every startling revelation and on to the unexpected but satisfying conclusion. If you have never believed in OT4 before, this story could convince you. If you're an old hand, this is a totally different take from anything else you've seen. Read it with chocolate.

Teyla woke early, a habit she had not changed even after years in Atlantis. The weight across her chest was new, however, and it took her a moment to realize that it was Rodney's arm, flung carelessly around her. It was pleasant, so she lay still and tried to go back to sleep, sure that the others wouldn't wake for hours anyway.

"Huh," came a grunt from across the room. Teyla didn't have to look to know it was Ronon. "So I didn't dream that you came in here last night," he said, quietly enough not to wake John or Rodney.

"That would be obvious." She carefully rolled to her side, facing him, and Rodney's arm tightened around her.

Ronon grinned, his sleep-lined face relaxing. "You're starting to sound like him, even."

Teyla raised a brow at him, knowing the action amused him. "And you are starting to sound like John."

"I resent that," came John's voice from under the blankets. Ronon merely winked at her. "Shut up," John added.
