Author's Summary:
Mrs. Halvorsen was hired by the U.S. Air Force to clean a few houses around Colorado Springs.
The clients are quiet, rarely home, and oddly fond of glowing books, deep freezers with warning labels, and candles that look like they’re summoning something.
She doesn’t ask questions. But sometimes… she wonders.
Why This Must Be Read:
It's just a cute little fic with a lovely outside POV about some of our favorite SG-1 characters.
Mrs. Mars Halvorsen was hired through a civilian cleaning contract connected to the United States Air Force. She wasn’t entirely sure how that worked, but the checks cleared on time and the paperwork said Top Priority in very bold letters, so she figured it wasn’t her place to argue.
She was assigned to five different homes around Colorado Springs, all belonging to people who were rarely there, always slightly disheveled when they were, and had a collective knack for coming back from “business trips” looking like they’d wrestled a bear somewhere in the Nevada desert.
She didn’t ask questions. As far as she was concerned, a mess was a mess. She’d cleaned worse for less.
And sure, sometimes things didn’t quite add up—but then again, a lot of people in government jobs were a little odd. Comes with the uniform, she supposed.
Still… sometimes, she couldn’t help but wonder.
