Godless Provenance by Lisette (mature)
Show: SG1/Buffy
Rec Category: Crossover
Characters: Jack O'Neil, Buffy Summer (Buffy)
Pairings: Jack O'Neil/Buffy Summer
Categories: Gen, Crossover
Warnings: Angst, Violence
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author's Website: Lisette at TthFanfic.org, FanFiction.net and Personal Website
Link: Godless Provenance
Why This Must Be Read: Glory's portal redirects the stargate wormhole just as SG1 steps through, putting both SG1 and Buffy in enemy hands.
It is an amazingly well thought out story. It does have a pairing I never expected to like (Buffy/Jack), but somehow the author makes it work really well. The chemistry between Buffy and Jack is just perfect. The bond of trust and love they have built due to the desperation of the situation they find themselves in is again perfect. And despite the terror and despair, there are still plenty of funny lines to make you smile.
"Oh, I'm a lot stronger than I look," Buffy returned with a wry smile that held none of her previous suspicion or wariness for his team member. "I'm the Slayer - the Chosen One."
"The Chosen One?" Jack returned with a healthy dose of his own skepticism.
"It could be that her culture is a female-dominant society," Daniel ventured with a helpful shrug. "One in that the women-" he continued, only to be interrupted by another snort.
"While we've certainly had our moments, I think you're missing the point to the whole Chosen One - as in me, myself, and I alone," Buffy explained.
