Why This Must Be Read: This is probably my favourite new story of the year. A throw-away line from Daniel leaves Jack doubting his decisions in the field, when Daniel is injured. However, with Daniel’s close call, they decide that perhaps this distraction is something worth exploring instead.

Why This Must Be Read: Still with the Cthulthu crossovers, and this is a doozy. It's one of the best crossovers I've ever read, long and satisfying and plotty. It's an AU where team AR-1 end up in a version of the USA that's been taken over by the darkness Sam and Dean were fighting, and John goes on a road-trip with Dean, Ronon and Teyla, to rescue Rodney from the Cthulthu equivalent of Wraith-worshippers. So much to love - apocafic! Road trips! Dean and John being badass! (and insanely hot), John!whump (the visions are killing him). One of my all-time favourites.
