From the creator's (troyswann's) introduction: Okay, once upon a time I was writing SGA fic but I felt bad that I was abandoning my old friends, SG-1, and then my brain did this weird thing where it said, "What if Daniel never got involved with the Stargate Program? What if he only got involved when Dr. Weir was putting together the Atlantis Expedition?" And that got me thinking about how Jack would be without Daniel to see him through "Abyss." And that got me thinking about McKay and Daniel and Shep and Jack hanging out in Atlantis and then some crazy people on my flist said, "Yeah, write that," so I did and thereby and forsooth, Pegasus B was born.

And then she opened it to the world and invited everyone else to join in and write and play in this marvelous sandbox. And people have. And it's glorious.
