Why This Must Be Read: A lovely and romantic piece about a girl, a boy, and a very fancy masquerade ball. Teyla feels like a princess for the night and is charmed by a masked gentleman who offers her a drink and a dance and she decides he's the one for the night. The imagery, characterization and execution are amazing. What I also love is that it's not explicitly stated that the man is John, but there's enough hints in the dialogue and descriptions to draw the conclusion that it is in fact him, along with a nice clue at the end of the story. It's a romantic, sexy and beautifully written story that I really can't describe how wonderful it really is.
