Why This Must Be Read: 

This is a great story that deals with Teyla's reaction to finding out that she has Wraith DNA and her fear of what her people will think of her. She expects that everyone, including John, will see her in a different light and is surprised to find that he is far from repulsed by her. There are some very funny moments too, such as John having to explain to Teyla why there are condoms hidden in the Jumper's medical kit.

 

This is a bad idea, he thought. They worked together and she was on his team and he couldn't keep letting himself do this, it was always a bad idea, it just made everything more difficult. Then she bit his lower lip and John made an involuntary noise in his throat. She pulled at his shirt again until he sat down hard on the bench. She straddled his lap and he thought, Oh, why the hell not? The Wraith were going to be here in days and they wouldn't be working together much longer; they would be dying together. He pulled her against him, sliding a hand into the warmth of her hair, shifting into a more comfortable angle, giving all his attention to the kiss.

She pulled away and he caught a breath. She looked at him, her expression unreadable, and said, "You did not stop me."
