Jack's attempt to brighten his team's morale brings back some painful memories for Daniel.

I read this story some time ago and it stuck with me. Jack wants to do something special for Daniel but instead of making him happy as Jack had hoped the "gift" ends up stirring up memories that Daniel would rather not have dealt with.
The story is sad and intense but well worth reading. Enjoy!
