Why This Must Be Read: Again, this is an interesting twist on the AMTDI trope, with Sam getting whammied while off-world by an intimacy enhancer that results in her...holding hands with Jack. A lot. It's sweet and touching and surprisingly, genuinely intimate, with some lovely character writing.

When the ambassador of PX5-872 told him with a nervous stutter that Major Carter had been inadvertently struck in the lab with a technology designed to stimulate her desire for intimacy, Jack had been expecting to have to quarantine her; had been expecting flushed skin and heaving breaths and maybe Sam pressing her body against his and rolling her hips and begging him to take her.
