Why This Must Be Read: This is a Firefly fusion set before the events of Firefly with Teyla as something of a proto-River, but without most of the trauma. The worlds of Firefly and SGA are melded together really well, and it's a gripping tale of rebellion against the core worlds, with Teyla central in helping Pegasus, her homeworld, adjust to the inevitable changes. Lovely writing, told from Ronon's POV, as Teyla's oldest friend.
