There are very few Dr. Lisa Park’s stories, and if SGU had been renewed for the 3rd season, I think she would have become a slightly more “major” secondary character.
This is how a relationship might have developed between the two hard working scientists.

Why This Must Be Read: Quercus is known for wonderful storytelling—plot and characters and events unwinding to create a rich backdrop for the emotional plot that weaves alongside. This story follows SG-1 as they create new alliances with a fascinating, friendly world with advanced technology, and with another less advanced race who nevertheless spark an emotional breakthrough.

Daniel shines here, with his prowess at languages and friendmaking, his storytelling abilities, and his emotional perseverance. You can't blame Jack at all for being in love with him. It just takes a strong nudge, or two, or three, to get Jack to act.

Why this must be read: The friendship between Teal'c and other SG-1 members is the theme of many fics, but most of them are about Teal'c and Jack or Daniel. Finding a Sam/Teal'c friendship fic is much harder. This one is really nice, and shows the relationship between the two characters in a very sweet manner.

Summary: Teal'c tilted his head. "I do not think that would be wise, Major Carter," he said gravely. "It would be a waste of perfectly good jello."

Why this must be read: Sam is fired from her command in Atlantis in a very rotten manner. This fic shows SG-1, and especially Vala, trying to cheer her up. It's a short piece which shows the team interaction really well.

Why this must be read: This is a post-Threads fic which takes place in the Christmas after season 8. Nothing happened between Sam and Jack in the cabin; Sam went to Nevada, Jack to D.C., and now Sam doesn't really know what to do to change things. She is looking forward to a Christmas with her brother Mark, to relax and think about her next steps, but when her plans change suddenly, there's only one person she wants to be with.

What I like the most about this fic is that it addresses the differences between the CO/2IC and the lovers. Jack and Sam are used to being teammates, and even though they want things to change, actually making the changes is hard for them.

Summary: Sam's change of Christmas plans may mean Jack needs to change his strategy.
