Missing Link by PhoenixE (R)

Rec Category: Daniel
Pairing: Jack/Daniel

Warnings: Slash. Violence, some intense images.

Why this must be read: Oh, what to say about this fic that isn't a spoiler? :) It's "a desperate midnight rescue." It's intense, it's shocking, it's not your usual Stargate fic. And it was one of the fics I read when I first came into Stargate fandom that really made a strong impression on me, and I still love it.

Two-Part Harmony in D-Minor by Janis Cortese (R)

Rec Category: Slash
Pairing: Daniel/Daniel, (Daniel/Shau'ri implied)
Category: Slash, Angst
Warning: Slash, (Het implied), Possible Squick Alert: well, it's not quite incest, but it's similar..

Why This Must Be Read:  Daniel's mechanical twin comes face to face with the fact that his past with Shau'ri doesn't really belong to him.  Daniel tries to comfort him, and sparks fly - literally!

I was determined to find some unusual fic for the slash category - I think this one fits the bill.  The sex is not explicit, but it's possible that it might freak some people out due to the nature of the main pairing.  I like the part with Shau'ri - I don't usually think of Daniel as the innocent who learns everything he knows about sex from his wife, but it works for this storyAnd the idea of two Daniels together definitely has a certain appeal.

"Whom the Gods Would Destroy," by Graculus (PG)

Rec Category: Daniel
Category: Drama, Action/Adventure, Hurt/Comfort
Warning: None.
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] graculus

Why this must be read: This is a FanQ-nominated story that first appeared in the zine Splinters. It's an AU of "Legacy," and I didn't really appreciate the opportunities that episode missed until I read this story.

What if curing Daniel wasn't so easy?
