Last Noel is painful. Very, very painful... And yet... It'll suck you in faster than a Stargate Ka-whoosh!! This dark, short piece explores how Daniel and Sam "celebrate" their first five Christmas' together before Meridian . With evocative imagery and quick snapshots, Rofflewaffles will take Daniel and Sam on a gloomy journey of togetherness and despair. The first year, they were very much ashamed of themselves. Daniel dressed quietly in the dark and drove home through a record breaking snowfall and drank Southern Comfort until he was purged of the taste of Sam's skin and her mouth. Sobbed Sha're's name into the sink and prayed to gods he did not believe in at all. Sam showered three times until the hot water ran cold and the third time let it run 'til she shivered. She washed the sheets, but kept the pillowcases dirty an extra night or two until she was very certain that she could no longer smell Daniel at all, until her own skin and hair had buried whatever bits of him might have remained. She got new pillows a week later.
