Why this must be read: syxp is one of the very best at channeling Jack O'Neill, so this "first time" fic is equal parts hilarious, adorable, and hot. Great emotional progression from holiday blues and loneliness, to bewilderment, to wonder, and finally that sweet-funny-comfortable intimacy we S/J shippers call "Teh Stupid Cute".

Summary: Goldilocks has finally found her way into Jack's bed, and Jack figures he's either been really good this year, or he has an incurable disease and she'd been sent to break the news to him.


"I'm sorry," she said. That got Jack's attention, and he looked up to her face. Her cheeks were flushed from more than the heat of the water. "I just thought we could skip all the awkward parts."

Carter really was brilliant. They'd had a pretty good run of awkward over the years. Skipping straight to the comfortable intimacy might not be such a bad idea. Jack wrapped his hands around her hips and kissed her. "I think that's the best idea you've ever had," he said.

OK, now I'm feeling shut out--because I just tried again and again got the weird goat that says "access denied". I can get to her lj by clicking on your link to her name, here, and I sure can't think of anything I've ever done that would cause her to ban me from seeing her lj. I thought possibly she had removed her fiction, since I couldn't see any of that, but if you just found it, then that's obviously not the case. Frustrating to say the least!
