I won't reveal any more because I don't want to ruin the lovely bittersweet mystery. I always end up with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat after reading this quietly affecting story.

This is one of my absolute favourite stories in this fandom. And even though I suspected the 'twist in the tale' by the middle of the story, the last line was still a punch to the gut.

Even upon reading it for the hundredth time and knowing the twist is coming -- the last line is STILL a punch to the gut.
