Why This Must Be Read: This story pretty much has it all in the John & Rodney friendship department: snark, banter, h/c, concussion-induced oversharing, clumsy emotional support -- it's a pitch-perfect look at their prickly but deep friendship.
(An extra bonus for me is that this story features a glimpse of a Sheppard who's, presumably, gay or bisexual, in a story that's absolutely 100% gen. You don't get that combination very often! And I liked the understated way it was handled.)
