Why this must be read:  A fun and lively tale, Lost Time reads like an episode with the extra added spice of a subtle slashy subtext.  When an alien device that stops time becomes attached to Mitchell and won't let go, while the team searches for an answer, Mitchell uses it to stop time and mercilessly tease Daniel with a series of tricks, much like a little boy dipping a little girl's pigtails in an inkwell.  He also uses it to stop time and just look at Daniel.  It's by turns funny and sensual, with excellent character voices for all five members of SG-1, and with evocative imagery of what it could feel like to stop time and of all the little nuances that do make Daniel Daniel.   

Author's Summary:  "It's all fun and games until someone puts on an alien gadget."
